Scoring Walk-through
effort (1 - 10)
A score of 1 - 10 will be given.
This is in comparison to the gallery of the artist. NOT against other artists. (Trying a new/harder method than you normally do can increase your score here too) 
Head-shots start at about 2, most full-bodies start at about 4.
Extras such as: Backgrounds, Shading, Collaborations, High Details, etc. will add more points to the score.
Sketches and unfinished-looking entries will be lower.

past entries (max of 5)
Entry form should link to past show entries of the horse(s).
Which Prior Shows count?ALL imaged show experience counts.

story (0 - 5)
A score of 0 - 5 will be given.
Stories are not required, if one is not included a score of 0 is received.
Stories that are well-written, enjoyable, not too short or too long will be given a high score.

performance (1 - 5)
A score of 1 - 5 will be given.
This is random for all entries.
Special Bonuses! 

• Former ghost horses have had a lot of experience at RRS - they automatically roll a score of 3-7.
• Former campers of RRS Summer Camp have a special camp bonus. They automatically roll a score of 3-6.
• Horses that have previously won Best in Show or Judge's Choice at RRS have a special bonus. They automatically roll as score of 3-8.
• Bonuses do not stack. The highest bonus is used. 
• Horses/campers on a team will use the same roll. 
• Horses/campers on different teams will use separate rolls. 

impact (1 - 5)
A score of 1 - 5 will be given.
The judge's choice of which entry was most appealing.
Each entry gets a different number, with the most appealing receiving a 5, the second most appealing receiving a 4, and so on.
This should not just be about skill, the artist may incorporate perspective, style, personality or other means into the art to make more of an impact.

extra bonus (Y/N random 1-5)
If class rules include a themed bonus this category will show in the judging.

If the entry does not include relevant items no score is given. ( ---- n)
If the entry does contain items relevant to the theme a random score from 1 - 5 is given.

follows rules (Y/N)
Yes or No
If yes, points are NOT deducted and the entry qualifies for placement in the top 3.
If no, points may be deducted.
Certain rule-breaking (like art theft,  soaring of gaited horses, rider age or safety issues) will disqualify the horse completely or may result in the entry not placing higher than 4th or 5th.

• Depicting the horse making a mistake/error will NOT cost you points. 

accuracy (Y/N)
Yes or No
If yes, points are NOT deducted.
If no, points may be deducted.
Accuracy comes into play with rider attire, horse tack and (if used) background following listings in show comments.

IF horses tie with the same score, a random number will be given to each of them. The higher number will get the higher placement.

Scores should be posted on the comments of the entry in this form.

Shows with less then 5 entries will have Ghost Horses filling the other spots. See here for scoring with Ghost Horses


Prizes

Class purses/earnings are included for anyone who uses them. They can be located in the result pages of the shows. 
1st: 60% of purse
2nd: 20% of purse
3rd: 10% of purse
4th: 5% of purse
5th: 3% of purse

Best in Show

Every 10 shows the first place entries will be put into a poll for judging. Everyone may vote, you can advertise the poll and encourage others to vote. You may not bribe (offer points/art/anything) for people to vote for you.
The poll will sit for one week and the most popular entry will win Best in Show.

Winning entry will receive a sash and an original full-body halter picture with the sash (digital or traditional) and a  diamond badge (one-month free premium membership) 
 or   
AccaliaRose will draw the prize-art

Judges Choice and Popular Choice

Every 10 shows up to 10 non-first-place entries that stand out receive the title "Judge's Choice" along with a ribbon 
The entries are put in a poll and the most popular entry receives the title "Popular Choice"  along with a ribbon and headshot and a  diamond badge (one-month free premium membership)

If you would like to be a judge, ask me about getting on the list.
You would never be obligated to judge a show, just be open to me sending a note asking if there are any takers (I will need someone else to judge shows that I may enter in the future). You would judge by this system, fairly (no favoring good friends) and have the choice (but no obligation) to provide the prize-art or increase the prizes if you wish.
